Joomla's been recomended to me as an ideal CMS for our needs. How popular is this package?  How many publishers use Joomla for receiving content from authors around the globe and distributing newsletters by e-mail?  How much trauma will I experience finding people to tinker and tailor the system to our spefific needs over the next year or so?  Is there a better road to follow?

Well, since nobody has responded, I guess I can say that Joomla may be more popular than our CMS, OpenEdit, (for now) but please take a look at it, we can meet the needs you listed in your message! Thanks, Julie
